Kali is constantly attempting to swipe something outtah my crocheting basket. So today I took a photo to account for everything that is currently inside — and while at it captured proof on camera of the cat burglar in action!
I finally found my little round red row counter under the couch — along with a collection of other stolen trinkets. I was hoping to find cash since Kali spends a good deal of time with her head in my handbag too.
As you can see in the photograph, I have completed one center strip of double shells for The Blackberry Sundae Blanket! Let's not discuss how long that took me, OK? (It's the easiest, fastest thing, ever. I swear!). According to the pattern, I need to make eight more. But I already veered off the pattern. I crocheted eighty-six instead of sixty-seven rows of shells to make the afghan longer. That's perfectly fine, and I can tweak the border later if need be. I just hope that no matter the number of strips I choose, it doesn't take me as many weeks to crochet.
I actually don't mind taking my time, though. I don't get ants in my pants about finishing a project quickly like some crocheters and knitters do. Speaking of ants, I'll be stitching away at the Blackberry Sundae Blanket while watching one of my favorite "nuclear anxiety" sci-fi movies on Turner Classic Movies tonight!
I'm curious about what's hiding deep inside your knitting or crocheting basket or bag! If you post a photo on your blog or Flickr, be sure to leave a comment here so I can take a peek!

Can't believe you caught her red...er, fur-handed! Errr...make that fur-pawed! What a daring little minx!
Liking Blackberry Sundae! Hope you're enjoying the sci-fi flick.

Can't say I blame Kali for dipping into the basket.I know I have a hard time resisting the temptation of anything yarn related.
