You've all heard of Pinterest by now, right? The site where you can organize and share all the beautiful things you find all the web. Where people get really excited and flabbergasted and getting their mind blown about things that were somewhat fun and not all that unique — years ago. Things like cake-in-a-cup, duct tape wallets, chalkboard walls, boring-families-holding-picture-frame-portraits, blue nail polish, chicken-for-dinner. Then there are the quotes, which I'm sure were spoken by Yoda, but are credited to Luke — the Evangelist, not the Ewok-loving Jedi. And all the awesome laugh-out-loud and stand-out-in-the-crowd stuff is usually taken from Tumblr — 'cause Tumblr is awesome.
But Pinterest can be entertaining — especially for an insomniac who loves crafts, castles, clothes, cookies and someecards. And it is exactly what I needed for an injection of crochet inspiration! It's true that there is some really ugly crap on there, but I have fun digging through the pile in order to pin the CRAFTastic stuff I discover! I add a bit of all kinds of craftiness, although a large chunk of what I pin is crochet. And I always make a conscious effort to include only projects with free patterns. Just with the little I have so far, it will take some time before I start feeling bored! If we have similar taste in colors and projects, then definitely pop over there to see what I'm pinning! You may find it's a good reason to get on board with Pinterest too!
