I start knitting a blanket and the temperatures in Southern California spike to nearly 90F degrees. This summer I will knit a string bikini. But in the meantime, I'll keep stitching up blankets for when I move someplace C-O-L-D. Preferably Britain.
And I have been knitting — morning, noon, and night! I haven't done this much knitting on a project I love since The Straight-Laced Socks days back in O-Seven!
I even recovered from a major clusterfuck in a way that can only be described as bordering on magical.
At least I know my stitch count is always correct. I've put Kali in charge of making sure all three hundred purls are on the the needle before introducing a new fair isle pattern. I know it looks as though Kali is about to swipe those stitch markers, but she's mended her ways. Although, I am missing five dollars from my purse.
